The Government Relations Institute of Canada (GRIC) and the National Capital Region (NCR) group of the Institute of Public Administration of Canada (IPAC) hosted an exclusive and non-partisan panel discussion on Transitions in Government. This joint event aimed to provide a comprehensive examination on the planning, preparation, and delivery of a government transition, whether it be a transition between the same political party with a new mandate or an entirely new government.

Anne McGrath – Lifelong public educator and advocate. Most recently served as Executive Director for Southern Alberta to the Premier of Alberta. She has deep roots in the NDP federally and provincially. She served as Jack Layton’s Chief of Staff and also as National Director of the federal NDP, and was a key part of the team that managed the party through its transition to Official Opposition in 2011.
Andrew Treusch – Retired federal Deputy Minister. Former Commissioner of the Canada Revenue Agency, and former career public servant with various federal departments. A past president of IPAC.

Paul Wilson – Associate Professor at the Riddell Graduate Program in Political Management, Carleton University. He served as director of policy in the Office of the Prime Minister of Canada from 2009 to 2011.
