About GRIC The Government Relations Institute of Canada (GRIC) was founded in 1994 in response to the growth and maturing of the industry over the past 30 years. GRIC is a national professional association representing a broad cross section of consultant, organizational and corporate lobbyists. The Institute fosters the highest standards of practice through professional development and adherence to a Code of Professional Conduct. The Institute is the voice of the lobbying industry in the nation's capital. It represents its members on the relationship between the lobbying industry and government. GRIC appears before parliamentary committees and maintains close working relationships with Members of Parliament and the Office of the Commissioner of Lobbying of Canada. Members of GRIC benefit from having the inside track on the lobbying industry. GRIC's membership is as broad as the lobbying profession itself. Its members work as consultant lobbyists for large and small firms; they represent leading national corporations, trade and professional associations, public interest groups, labor unions, and law and lobbying firms. Membership crosses all organizational boundaries in terms of both size and interests: defense, communications, agricultural, pharmaceutical, financial services, healthcare, telecommunications, energy, environment, transportation, and many others. To become a member of the Institute, or if you would like more information about GRIC, please contact: Government Relations Institute of Canada
